Health Guarantee Contract & Sales Agreement

Pink Paw Chihuahua puppies have a full examination by a certified veterinarian between eight & twelve weeks of age and are current with vaccinations and de-worming prior to leaving our home. We guarantee the puppy to be healthy at the time of purchase. At the buyers expense we encourage you to take the pup to a vet of your choice for a complete wellness check within 72 hours of purchase. If your puppy should suddenly die, an autopsy (at the owner’s expense) is required to determine cause of death. Only after a cause of death determination has been reached will a solution by the breeder be decided.
Breeder guarantees for 12 months, from the date of birth, against life threatening congenital defects (heart, liver, kidney). If your veterinarian finds a life-threatening defect, he/she MUST provide a signed, detailed statement within 48 hours of discovery to Pink Paw Chihuahua. A replacement puppy will be offered when one becomes available. ___________
There is NO adult size guarantee. There are genetic/bloodline factors that influence the size of a Chihuahua, which breeders take into consideration when choosing breeding stock. In a single litter, there can be tiny to average to large sized pups (average Chihuahua birth weight is 3 to 5 ounces), which may or may not grow to be what’s expected by the standard. Outside factors beyond a breeders control also contribute to the adult size. Examples: type of food, exercise, and general environment in which a dog lives. Growth charting is ONLY a tool used to show the growth trend of a puppy. A healthy Chihuahua weight range can be from 3 pounds to 9 pounds. Some Chihuahuas can reach weights beyond 9 pounds and still be happy healthy pets. There is no “teacup” nor “micro” type of Chihuahua. This is a marketing ploy used to ask more money for a smaller dog. As is “rare” coat colors and patterns.
The Breeder “DOES NOT” guarantee against the following:
COLOR, COAT, SHOW ABILITY, TEMPERAMENT, DISPOSITION, OR CONFORMATION, BITES, BREEDING ABILITY, FREE WHELP, MOLERA, HYDROCEPHALUS, EAR ERECTION, TESTICLES DROPPING, PATELLA LUXATIONS, HERNIAS, WORMS, PARASITES, SEIZURES, COCCIDIA, GIARDIA ___________
Buyer agrees to provide proper housing, quality nutrition, regular vaccinations/worming & veterinary care as needed. Any evidence of neglect or abuse will void this contract. Breeder assumes NO responsibility for this puppy after leaving the premises regarding medical expenses or otherwise incurred by the buyer on behalf of this puppy without written consent from Pink Paw Chihuahua.
BUYER certifies that he/she is NOT acting as an agent for another individual in the purchase of this puppy/dog, and will NOT sell this puppy/dog to any mass-producing kennel (puppy mill) or breeding business. ________

“Right-of-First-Refusal” Contract

The following agreement is between Racheal Miller (breeder), and _____________________ hereafter referred to as “adopter”.
Adopter has been notified of Pink Paw Chihuahua’s “Right-of-First-Refusal” clause pertaining to the placement of puppy/dog referenced by the name of: ________________________
Adopter agrees to give Breeder right-of-first-refusal in the event that Adopter is unable to continue caring for puppy/ dog named above.
This is NOT a guarantee Breeder will take said puppy/dog back. However, upon notification Breeder will make every attempt to find housing of Breeder’s choosing or take the said puppy/dog back into Breeder’s home within a timely manner.
